My debut novel blends the brisk pace and action-driven narrative of a thriller with the more reflective, layered style characteristic of contemporary European fiction. I strive for clean, direct prose—favoring clarity over ornament—yet allow room for immersive, sensory-rich description and psychological depth, especially in moments of introspection or tension.

Dialogue in my work is deliberately spare and unembellished, capturing the rhythm of real conversation without unnecessary flourish. I’m influenced by the precision and restraint of Hemingway, but also by the atmospheric unease of Kafka and the sly theatricality of Brecht. My aim is to “bend reality without breaking it”—keeping the story grounded, but always tinged with unsettling possibilities.

While my plotting moves at a modern, rapid pace, I prefer to linger on character and setting, inviting the reader into vividly-rendered places and the subtle complexity of human motives. My tone is not overtly American; if anything, it leans toward the continental—more interested in nuance, ambiguity, and emotional aftertaste than in quick resolutions.

This is my first novel. I know there is room for growth, but I hope readers find in my style a mix of tension, intelligence, and European sensibility—a story that surprises, unsettles, and lingers long after the last page.
